Facebook reels views: how to get more reach
Published 20 September 2026 · 1 min read
Facebook is pushing reels hard, and they reach non-followers far more than ordinary posts. For pages that have stalled, reels are the quickest way back into people’s feeds.
What works on Facebook reels
- Keep reels under 30 seconds at first.
- Put captions on screen; many people watch muted.
- Post when your audience is online, often evenings.
- Cross-post from Instagram if the format fits, but remove watermarks.
- Use local language and local references.
Audience differences
Facebook’s Indian audience skews older and more regional than Instagram’s. Family, devotional, news, humour and local-business content perform well. Longer attention spans mean explainers can work.
How views are counted
A view is counted when a reel plays for a few seconds. Reels often show higher view counts than reach because of replays. Services that add views change how the number looks, not the quality of the audience.
Measure properly
- Open Insights and check reel plays and average watch time.
- Note which opening lines hold people.
- Repeat the format that works.
