Telegram link formats: public links, invite links and post links
Published 26 September 2026 · 1 min read
Using the wrong link is the most common reason a Telegram order does not start. The same channel can be referred to in several ways, and each service accepts only certain formats.
Public channel or group
https://t.me/yourchannel. This is the format most services need. The username must be public and the channel must be discoverable.
A single post
Open the post, tap the menu and choose Copy Link. It looks like https://t.me/yourchannel/123, where the number is the post’s ID. Post view and reaction services need this link or a public channel link, depending on the package.
Private invite links
https://t.me/+AbCdEf works only on services that say private links are supported. Others cannot see inside a private channel.
Bots
Bot links look like https://t.me/yourbot. Some services require a referral link with ?start=code if you want users to start the bot with a parameter.
Check before ordering
- Open the link in a private browser window. If it opens without logging in, it is public.
- Check that the channel preview shows posts.
- Confirm the service says it supports your link type.
If an order does not start
The usual causes: the channel is private, the username has changed, or a post link points to a deleted post. Fix the link and place a new order. See our post views guide for package choices.
