Bot account: meaning and how it works

A bot account is an automated account, usually without a real person behind it.

Bot followers are the cheapest and most likely to drop. Many services label themselves “bot” openly.

How it works in practice

Bot accounts are usually recognisable by missing profile pictures, no posts, strange usernames and huge follow counts. They are cheap to create and cheap to buy.

Example: a follower with no picture, no posts and 7,000 accounts followed is almost certainly a bot.
