How much should you spend on social media growth? Budgets from ₹300 to ₹5,000

Published 14 October 2026 · 1 min read

Your budget should mostly go to making things people want to see. Growth services are a small supporting line item, not the main plan. Here are three sample monthly budgets and how to think about each.

Three sample plans

Monthly budgetSplitFits
₹300₹200 for editing tools or props, ₹100 for likes or views on your best postsStudents and first-time creators
₹1,500₹700 for lighting and editing apps, ₹800 for followers and likes on your best postsSmall shops and new business pages
₹5,000₹2,000 for a freelance editor, ₹3,000 for followers with refill and viewsBrands preparing for collaborations

Rules that protect you

  1. Never spend money you need for rent or stock.
  2. Test with ₹100 before committing.
  3. Reinvest only if you see growth in real engagement.
  4. Put at least half of any budget into content quality.

What each budget can reasonably buy

  • ₹100 to ₹300: a few hundred likes or views, or a small follower batch.
  • ₹1,000 to ₹1,500: a modest follower base plus likes on key posts.
  • ₹5,000: a bigger base with refill, plus views and a few collaborations.

Track the return

Before you spend, note your followers, average views and enquiries. After a month, compare. If enquiries did not change, the money would have been better spent on content or ads.
